This new initiative is intended to be a low-key way for instructors across the division to share resources, tips, and examples of methods we have used in our undergraduate and graduate classrooms to increase student engagement and interaction and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
What is the format?
The format will be an informal 50-minute brown bag lunch. There is a sign-up sheet for two presenters each month to share an example methodology from their classes. It could be related to the classroom community, active learning strategies, assessments, office hours, anything!
There is no need to prepare slides, though it would be useful to show specific materials and examples when relevant.
The forum platform, Piazza, will be used to share material and related notes. Piazza information below:

How do I attend and/or present?
You can subscribe to the MITI mailing list where we will be sending the Zoom information. We will begin the series virtually this fall, with the plan to transition to in-person meetings in the new year.
If you would like to present, please use this sign-up sheet and enter your name, email, and topic next to your preferred date.
What is the schedule?
