Association for Women in Mathematics at UC San Diego (AWM)
The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is a professional society whose mission is to encourage women and girls to study and have active careers in the mathematical sciences and to promote equal opportunity for and the equal treatment of women and girls in mathematics. UCSD's chapter of AWM was re-established, after a four-year period of inactivity, by mathematics graduate students in September 2019 to promote diversity in mathematics at UCSD.
We hope to:
- Foster a sense of community among graduate students and others in the department.

Chemistry Peer Advisors
Chemistry Peer advising was established in 2016 with the goal of providing undergraduate Chemistry/Biochemistry students advising services that are peer-sourced and tailored towards students’ need for role models and a network of peers with similar academic interests. As peer advisors, we have experienced the same classes and roadblocks that our fellow peers are currently experiencing. Additionally, we can help new students network and find resources for their classes and interests.
